Strategy and optimization of processes
Unlike other activities, which can be delegated to lower levels, planning and implementation of strategy are the exclusive tasks of the organization's top management. The organization's strategy is designed to reflect the management's vision and enthusiasm in achieving goals. The resources for achieving these goals are mostly internal. Maximum utilization of internal resources is feasible only when the organization strategy is adopted. The organization strategy includes the management of organization's internal processes. To be able to manage, the processes must first be identified and mapped, classified according to importance, added value, demands for resources. Metrics must be defined to measure the processes' performance. The key internal resource are usually the employees. Their motivation and qualification are essential prerequisites of success of the organization in competitive environment.
